15 years of award-winning dance training. Now Arizona’s newest state-of-the-art cultural venue Tempe Dance West, serving the Phoenix metro community since 2007, has new home and a new name. South Mountain Performing Arts, under the artistic direction of owner Michael J. Cook, will continue to offer a wide array of award-winning dance classes, recreational offerings, and pre-professional training programs in a new, state-of-the-art dance center conveniently located in the heart of growing Laveen.

SMPA features a Studio Theater, two additional theater-scale dance training studios, fitness facilities, and tons of amenities from dressing rooms to a café and student lounge.
